Farewell Term 2

As our final post for Term 2 2021 we were told to do a reflection on our term. At the beginning of term 2 we set our goals. My first one was: I would like to get better at writing things that aren’t narratives.I think I've got better at other genres but I still much prefer narratives. This is my second goal: I would like to get faster at all my work.I have got faster but not fast enough.

Now I'm going to share 1 of the things we did this term.

Recently we had to make a rap you could make it with a buddy, I did it with my friend Grace. We had to do it about respect.

Welcome to Room 11!

 For our last cybersmart lesson we were doing the 3 Ss, sites, screenshots and screen casts. With the first two Ss(sites and screenshots) we had a bingo where we had to go on our class site  and take screenshots of the things on the bingo until we got a bingo.That was the learn section.For the create section we had to do a screencastify giving a tour of our class site, which is the video below.

Panikeke

  

On the 3rd of July we got to taste panikeke which is a Samoan pancake. But unlike any other pancake I’ve ever seen, it’s round, small and not flat. The batter on the outside smelled like fish batter but with more sugar. When I bit into it, it was sugary and crispy. The inside tasted and smelled like banana cake. I definitely recommend trying it.

 On Monday we did cybersmart with Phil we were doing blog profiles and we had to fill in the slide bellow.

What's The Buzz?

 Today in science we were doing a project called What's The Buzz? which you may have already guessed is something to do with bees. We were all given a small container which had a bumblebee in it, don't worry it was dead. There were three different types male bumblebees, worker bumblebees and queen bumblebees. I had a queen bumblebee. We were also given magnifying glasses and tweezers but there weren't that meany tweezers so I had to use my hands. Lots of people were real disgusted about it but I was fine with it. First we examined it and while I was examining it fell onto my lap and when I picked it up I found out it was quite fluffy. Then we had to fill out a worksheet and if we finished that then we wrote down some bee facts.
